Integration Of Science And Spirituality For Future Development: Prof. K.P. Mishra
I am Glad to share my article on "Integration Of Science And Spirituality For Future Development". here is an introduction and Link to free full article.
Discoveries in modern Science have deeply impacted human society. There has been revolution in communication, transport, energy, medicine, agriculture with the use of science and technology. Intensive research and spirit of inquiry have transformed human life, expanded the horizon of knowledge on universe, altered the concept of time and space, and stimulated us to know the unknown in the course of time. We have witnessed generation of enormous new resources, boost in economy and rise in standards and style of life of people. Consequently, the trust of society in science and technology has tremendously increased over the years. It is heartening to note that the quest for unraveling the secrets of nature continues though much remains to be explored.

Spirituality with Science can Catapult Humans to Superhuman Capability : Prof. K.P. Mishra (Talk summary)
I am glad to share that I will deliver an invited talk at the International National Conference "Environment, Social and Religious Consequences on Human Evolution" at Jamia Millia Central University, Delhi, Nov. 20-21, 2021.
Here is the title of my talk and a summary:
Spirituality with Science can Catapult Humans to Superhuman Capability
Biological evolution of humans is closely associated with the upward progress of human society. The quest for unraveling the mystery of Nature especially the origin of life on the planet earth has remained a perpetual urge but the intended goal has met with insignificant progress. From ancient times, humans have evolved inconstantly changing social environment and have sought to building a society free from poverty, disease-free health, fearless living (security), and strongly bonded brotherhood in evolving society. In modern age, science has provided long cherished human dreams of comforts in living and enjoying the better quality of life. Biological human evolution is understood to follow Charles Darwin’s theory of mutation, selection and survival of the fittest in the environment. Progress in human features have remained rather slow presumably due to slow rate of mutations and, therefore, noticeable changes in humans occur in centuries. Most interestingly, there exists vast potential of evolution of human sense organs including human conscious evolution which has the potential to bring revolution in society. I believe that consciousness can be dramatically evolved bringing revolutions in human capabilities and grant super- human powers presently unimaginable. In the course of social progress humans got innocently mired with the religions of diverse dispensations which, in fact, unintentionally impeded the human social progress and divided the society into different identity groups. The human progress will be far more superior and with accelerated speed in an irreligious and casteless social structure. In the new globally unified social structure framework, the present trend of individualistic, discriminatory and egoistic human traits and behaviors will significantly tilt towards mutually respectful, non-violent and tolerant social cohesion welcoming inclusivity with the imbibition of the concept of global family. In thecrave for seeking individual freedom and active participation in growing social order, humans chose to a largely democratic governance system exceptions being a few autocratic governance systems. In this talk, I would like to emphasize that human evolution has potential to grow to limitless heights but real peaking will happen when the society achieves an irreligious and casteless state of living. Spirituality, irrespective of caste and religion, has potential to open new horizons of knowledge by unfolding the hidden capabilities of humankind. Science and spirituality have potential to equip humans with extraordinary powers by upward evolution of consciousness and transform them with amazing newer capabilities in the course of evolution
Atom, Atomic Radiation and Cancer Treatment - Prof. K. P. Mishra (Talk summary)
I delivered a talk on "Atom, Atomic Radiation, and Cancer Treatment" on Oct 30, 2021 at B.K.Birla College of Arts, Science, and Commerce (Autonomous), Kalyan, Mumbai, India. Here is a brief of my talk:
ATOM, ATOMIC RADIATION, AND CANCER TREATMENT
Summary
The atom of an element possesses an enormous amount of energy. The technology of splitting the atom was discovered in the early year of World War II. This phenomenon is scientifically called nuclear fission. Scientists were quick to imagine utilization of energy from splitting of atom to weapon development in a war-ridden world. Scientists also proposed to produce nuclear power from atomic technology. The first experimental Nuclear Power station was built in UK. Dr Homi H.Bhabha foresaw the application of atomic energy for many peaceful purposes in the service of mankind. He envisaged the prospects of producing nuclear power in India and proposed an elaborate atomic energy program for the independent India in 1960s. Today, India is a nuclear weapon State and numerous applications of atomic energy from agriculture, environment, food to the treatment of cancer patients are significant contributions to service society. The vision of Dr Bhabha to harness atomic radiation for benefit of mankind from human health to electricity generation has become a practical reality. Today India produces more than 3%of electrical energy from nuclear technology. The talk will highlight the basic aspects of atomic structure, emission of radiation from radioactive atoms, and some biomedical applications including the constantly increasing use of atomic radiation in the treatment of cancer patients in hospitals.
